Here are a few of the mandates and projects we have worked on

Native / Hogarth, London, UK

The cooperation started in 2009 with several mandates in the field of pharmaceuticals. This led to an important assignment as medical writer for a pan-European initiative launched by Pfizer on the topic of chronic pain. As part of a team composed of medical experts and Pfizer representatives we participated in the production of a country profile for Switzerland. This document was incorporated in the larger European Pain Proposal advocacy paper which was submitted to the European Parliament in the fall of 2010. The Swiss country profile will also serve to approach decision makers in this country to promote better treatment for chronic pain patients.

Language Solutions, St Louis, Missouri, USA

After a first very satisfactory mandate executed early 2009, this client required our services again to translate a very complex document which necessitated many hours of research in specialized UN databases and other international law sources. This draft convention on crimes against humanity could eventually become a new UN treaty and we are proud of having been associated to the project.

Odette Grille, freelance translator, Montreal, P. Quebec, Canada

Intellectually challenging and exciting collaboration in the field of legal history. In the context of the translation from English to French of a 400 page book dedicated to the history of the judiciary in 19th century Canada, undertaken by Mrs. Grille, our role consisted in editing and proofreading the legal terminology to ensure accuracy from a historical and legal perspective.  This project will be completed early December 2009.

Supertext, Communications and Translation Agency, Zurich, Switzerland

Since June 2009, fruitful collaboration in various fields such as marketing, commercial, legal and financial, pharmaceutical, information technology, etc. with the provision of translation, proofreading and editing as well as creative writing services. One of our most interesting mandate for this agency consists in creatively translating from German to French various documents, such as promotional and legal, for a leading European insurance company.

Xchange Services, Translation Agency and Language School, Furth, Germany

Ongoing eight-month collaboration in the German-Swiss French pair to provide translation services for marketing and commercial documents. This agency has notably enthrusted us with a mandate to translate four times a year a company newspaper for one of its most important clients, a successful Swiss company active in the field of food products.

Triple Ink, Translation Agency, Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA

Successful revision of around 7 000 words of legal documentation pertaining to a medical device for a renowned company in the English to French pair, for the Swiss market.

Com’Exel (French translation agency based in the region of Brittany)

Extensive revision of several documents for a company active in the field of surveillance cameras, adding up to 13 000 words (EN to FR).

ADT International (France)

This language services agency is specialized in IT, technology and scientific publications. We were recently hired for our knowledge of Swiss French to translate marketing documentation for a  leading company in the field of IT. We will continue to collaborate with this agency to provide, among others, evaluations of translation tests.

cfoXpert AG (Zurich, Switzerland)

A team of financial consultants

• One mandate consisted in translating and partly rewriting a 500 word article on due diligence drafted by a finance expert. The article was part of a special supplement on due diligence distributed by Le Temps, a renowned Swiss (French) daily newspaper.

• Translation as well as editing and proofreading for a client of cfoXpert a document of around 5000 words about human resources issues (English and French).

Centre for the Millenium Development Goals (Basel, Switzerland)

The CMDG was created in Basel at the end of 2007. The CMDG approched me for my expertise in international relations and my past experience with the United Nations.

• Revision of a background paper which had already been translated from German to English by a person lacking the specialized background.

• Translation of the website content from German to French and revision of the English version.

Dufour Advokatur, Law firm (Basel, Switzerland)

• Revamping and editing of existing marketing leaflets presenting the services of a lawyer specialized in intellectual property law.
  
• Translation of an administrative tribunal procedure from German to English.
• Regular updates of a trilingual website (GE_EN_FR)

Traduction de l’allemand (suisse) au français (suisse) d’un document d’entreprise dans le domaine du marketing.

Com’Exel (Agence de traduction et de localisation, Bretagne, France)

Révision de divers fichiers dans le domaine de l’informatique des réseaux et de la vidéo pour AXIS, un leader du marché des caméras vidéos de surveillance (13 000 mots).

cfoXpert (Zurich, Suisse)

Une équipe d’experts en gestion financière des entreprises

• Traduction de l’anglais au français d’un article destiné à un supplément consacré à la due diligence distribué par le quotidien romand Le Temps.

Centre for the Millenium Development Goals - fondation (Bâle, Suisse)

Pour cette fondation de droit suisse, qui a pour mission de diffuser de l’information sur les Objectifs du Millénaires des Nations Unies et de sensibiliser le public à ces objectifs, nous avons obtenu un mandat de traduction et de révision du contenu du site web et d’un document interne décrivant la mission du CMDG (de l’allemand au français et à l’anglais).

Avalis Telemedicine (Zurich)

Diverses traductions et révisions pour une entreprise active en télémédecine (2006-2007), en particulier des brochures présentant les produits de haute technologie fabriqués par l’entreprise.

Chambre de Commerce Canado-Suisse (Zurich et Genève)

Mandat d’une année consistant à assumer la fonction de General Manager. Contribution à la transformation de ce qui était essentiellement une association d’expatriés et club social en chambre de commerce à part entière. Responsabilités : élaboration du programme de déjeuners-conférences, comptabilité, recrutement et accueil de nouveaux membres, rédaction de communiqués et lettres d’information. (Année 2006).

Rittman AG (Basler Zeitung), International Transport Journal (Bâle, Suisse)

Contrat de six mois. Collaboration en matière de traduction, révision et rédaction d’une lettre quotidienne d’information, diffusée en ligne, dans le domaine des transports (2004).

Dufour Advokatur - cabinet d’avocats  (Bâle, Suisse)

• Révision de matériel publicitaire présentant les services juridiques offerts par le cabinet dans le domaine de la propriété intellectuelle.
• Traduction d’une procédure judiciaire de l’allemand à l’anglais Bâle (2004).
